“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Gen. 1:29
This was what God said in the beginning to Adam and Eve and for the next 1056 years people thrived so much that some became giants and some lived like Noah for 950 years. People were very healthy and lived longer than in any other period of time. They were doing the two best things to promote health: 1. Eat fresh fruits & vegetables and 2. Movement (exercise) That’s it folks, it does not get any clearer than that and it is straight from the lips of God on the first page of the Bible.
So, what happened? Why have we got so far off course?
Remember Noah? Well after the flood Noah was downloading all the creatures off the boat when God spoke to him again: “Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.” Gen. 9:3
IMHO This was God’s second mistake, Adam was his first.
So, man was very healthy and have a good time on earth although God supposable was not happy with the revelry going on down here. Apparently we had learned a few tricks like fermentation and the begating was getting out of hand, but hey, we were told to replenish the earth. Anyway, for whatever reason God decided to encourage us to kill all the animals and people (every moving thing) and eat them. **Now I got to say right here, either the book is wrong or God’s lost his grip. We were doing just fine as a species, healthy, huge and living for hundreds of years, so why would God screw it up??
So hear is my theory for what it is worth. I think God likes chaos, if you don’t believe it, look what at what’s going on in the universe or here on earth for that matter. Why? Because it is a perfect compliment to God. God is order, everything else is chaos. The Ying and the Yang. Plus and minus. Zero and One. On and Off. Together they work in harmony. One needs the other. That is why God is order and human is chaos. Have you every noticed that during your own life, just when you get it all figured out, God throws you another curve, a new challenge. Otherwise I gotta believe God is mean and revengeful and that is not the way I see it. I see God as compassionate, loving and kind and like us he likes a little entertainment from time to time.
